A Calm, Structured Space Designed for Student Success

Legacy Learning Community is intentionally designed to support students with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and specialized learning needs.

Our classrooms and shared spaces are:

  • Clean, organized, and welcoming
  • Calm and predictable to support emotional regulation
  • Structured to reduce anxiety and promote engagement

Students immediately sense that this is a place where they are understood and respected. We proudly serve students from all walks of life and diverse backgrounds, creating an inclusive environment where every learner is valued. The physical environment reflects our commitment to safety, dignity, and meaningful learning.

Instruction Built Around the Whole Child

At Legacy Learning Community, instruction begins with the student—not the curriculum. All programming is individualized and aligned to each student’s IEP, ensuring academic instruction, social‑emotional development, and related services are integrated and intentional.

Our approach includes:

  • Individualized academic instruction aligned to IEP goals
  • Social‑emotional and behavioral supports embedded throughout the day
  • Small class sizes and personalized pacing
  • Specialized strategies tailored to each learner’s strengths and needs

Students are supported not only in what they learn, but in how they learn.

Genuine Care. Strong Relationships. True Collaboration.

Our staff and leadership are deeply committed to serving students with professionalism, compassion, and consistency. Teachers, therapists, and support staff work collaboratively to ensure instruction is implemented with fidelity and care. Parents are always welcome at Legacy Learning Community. We believe families are true partners in their child’s education.

Families can expect:

  • Open and ongoing communication
  • Collaborative decision‑making
  • Respect for family insight and voice

Together, we create a shared vision for each student’s success.

Behavioral Support Built Into the School Day

At Legacy Learning Community, we believe that students thrive when educational and behavioral support work together. That’s why behavioral support is built right into our school program—without asking families to coordinate outside providers, file insurance claims, or manage additional appointments.

Our team includes Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) and access to Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) who work alongside our teachers and staff to support students throughout the school day. These services are part of our comprehensive educational program, making support seamless, consistent, and readily available when it’s needed.

How Students Benefit

Students receive behavioral support in the environment where they learn every day, helping them:

  • Build positive behaviors and self-regulation skills.
  • Receive consistent support throughout the school day.
  • Stay engaged and successful in the classroom.
  • Benefit from individualized strategies that meet their unique needs.
  • Experience a coordinated approach where teachers and behavioral specialists work together as one team.

Because behavioral support is integrated into our program, families don’t have to coordinate separate providers or navigate insurance billing to access these services. Instead, your child receives support from professionals who are already part of their educational team, making communication easier and services more consistent.

Our teachers and classroom staff also receive ongoing coaching and consultation from behavioral specialists. This collaborative approach strengthens classroom practices, creates a more supportive learning environment, and helps every student experience greater success.

At Legacy Learning Community, we’re committed to providing the personalized support students need to grow academically, socially, and emotionally—all in one place.

Fostering Creativity,

Guiding Future Success

An Online Learning Option

At Legacy Learning Community (LLC), we understand that every student learns differently—and that traditional school environments are not always designed to meet the needs of every child.

Some students thrive in a brick-and-mortar classroom, while others require a more flexible, individualized approach. Students with learning differences, physical challenges, mental health needs such as anxiety, or neurodivergent profiles—including dyslexia, ADHD, and autism—often benefit from a learning model that adapts to them, rather than expecting them to adapt to the system.

That is why we offer a virtual special education classroom. Students attend a real classroom with a real teacher, from any location with an internet connection.

Why Online Learning Works for Exceptional Students

Flexible Scheduling That Honors the Whole Child

Many of our students balance therapy appointments, medical needs, or emotional supports throughout the week. Other students do not have access to quality special education services close to home.

LLC’s flexible scheduling allows students to:

  • Learn at times and in locations that align with their needs
  • Stay engaged academically without falling behind
  • Reduce stress caused by missed instructional time

We believe learning should work with a student’s life—not against it.

Personalized Learning Aligned to Individual Needs

At Legacy Learning Community, learning is never one-size-fits-all.

Our online model allows students to:

  • Access instruction in ways that match their learning style
  • Revisit lessons as needed for mastery
  • Engage in instruction that aligns directly with their IEP goals and accommodations

This ensures students are not just participating—but making meaningful progress.

Reduced Distractions, Increased Focus

Traditional school environments can be overwhelming—especially for students with sensory sensitivities or social anxiety.

Our online program helps by:

  • Minimizing noise and overstimulation
  • Removing unnecessary social pressures
  • Creating a calm, focused learning experience

This allows students to fully engage in their academic work with confidence.

Safe and Supportive Learning Environments

Students learn best when they feel safe.

Through LLC’s online learning:

  • Students can learn from the comfort of their home
  • They have access to familiar supports and calming strategies
  • They can take breaks when needed to self-regulate

We prioritize environments where students feel secure, respected, and ready to learn.

Flexible Pacing with Individualized Support

Every student progresses at their own pace—and at Legacy Learning Community, that is not only accepted, it is expected.

Our approach allows students to:

  • Spend additional time on challenging concepts
  • Move ahead when they demonstrate mastery
  • Meet one-on-one with teachers for targeted support

This ensures instruction is responsive, intentional, and student-centered.

Accreditation

Legacy Learning Community is proud to hold the Arizona Department of Education designation as an approved private special education school. Our students graduate with a high school diploma, not a GED or certificate, and qualify to move on to higher education, full-time employment, military service, or whatever they choose.
