Legacy Learning Community is a specialized private school dedicated to students with individualized learning needs. From the moment you walk through our doors, the culture is clear: Legacy Learning Community is a place of calm, care, and purpose—where students feel safe, supported, and ready to learn.
Legacy Learning Community is intentionally designed to support students with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and specialized learning needs.
Our classrooms and shared spaces are:
At Legacy Learning Community, instruction begins with the student—not the curriculum. All programming is individualized and aligned to each student’s IEP, ensuring academic instruction, social‑emotional development, and related services are integrated and intentional.
Our approach includes:
Our staff and leadership are deeply committed to serving students with professionalism, compassion, and consistency. Teachers, therapists, and support staff work collaboratively to ensure instruction is implemented with fidelity and care. Parents are always welcome at Legacy Learning Community. We believe families are true partners in their child’s education.
Families can expect:
At Legacy Learning Community, we believe that students thrive when educational and behavioral support work together. That’s why behavioral support is built right into our school program—without asking families to coordinate outside providers, file insurance claims, or manage additional appointments.
Our team includes Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) and access to Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) who work alongside our teachers and staff to support students throughout the school day. These services are part of our comprehensive educational program, making support seamless, consistent, and readily available when it’s needed.
Students receive behavioral support in the environment where they learn every day, helping them:
Because behavioral support is integrated into our program, families don’t have to coordinate separate providers or navigate insurance billing to access these services. Instead, your child receives support from professionals who are already part of their educational team, making communication easier and services more consistent.
Our teachers and classroom staff also receive ongoing coaching and consultation from behavioral specialists. This collaborative approach strengthens classroom practices, creates a more supportive learning environment, and helps every student experience greater success.
At Legacy Learning Community, we’re committed to providing the personalized support students need to grow academically, socially, and emotionally—all in one place.
The United States Department of Education defines Special Education under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act
(IDEA). Our special education programs serve students with:
If your child falls into one of these 13 protected categories, has a diagnosis but not an IEP, or you do not know how to go about getting an IEP, please contact our administrative staff for assistance.
Legacy Learning Community is deeply committed to serving students with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
Our team works collaboratively with families to:
We believe that an IEP is more than a document—it is a commitment to the success of each student.
At Legacy Learning Community, online learning is not just about convenience—it is about access, equity, and empowerment.
We are committed to:
Every Student… No Exceptions.
At Legacy Learning Community (LLC), we understand that every student learns differently—and that traditional school environments are not always designed to meet the needs of every child.
Some students thrive in a brick-and-mortar classroom, while others require a more flexible, individualized approach. Students with learning differences, physical challenges, mental health needs such as anxiety, or neurodivergent profiles—including dyslexia, ADHD, and autism—often benefit from a learning model that adapts to them, rather than expecting them to adapt to the system.
That is why we offer a virtual special education classroom. Students attend a real classroom with a real teacher, from any location with an internet connection.
Many of our students balance therapy appointments, medical needs, or emotional supports throughout the week. Other students do not have access to quality special education services close to home.
LLC’s flexible scheduling allows students to:
At Legacy Learning Community, learning is never one-size-fits-all.
Our online model allows students to:
Traditional school environments can be overwhelming—especially for students with sensory sensitivities or social anxiety.
Our online program helps by:
Students learn best when they feel safe.
Through LLC’s online learning:
Every student progresses at their own pace—and at Legacy Learning Community, that is not only accepted, it is expected.
Our approach allows students to:
Legacy Learning Community is proud to hold the Arizona Department of Education designation as an approved private special education school. Our students graduate with a high school diploma, not a GED or certificate, and qualify to move on to higher education, full-time employment, military service, or whatever they choose.
We are a community of educational programs, providing a nurturing and empowering learning environment for every student.
