Kim Lahner
Special Education Teacher

Kim has been in education for over 30 years, beginning as an Adaptive PE teacher with the Mesa School District.  She taught in a pullout classroom for first through third graders at Blue Ridge Elementary and then at the Jr. High School as a resource teacher for Math and Language Arts. Kim ran the Special Education Program at Sequoia Village for numerous years before joining Lexington Life Academy for seven years.

Kim majored in Elementary Education with a minor in Physical Education at Az. State University.  She earned her Special Education Certificate and Reading Endorsement through The University of Phoenix.  She went on to obtain a Master’s in Counseling through Capella University.

Kim believes that all students can learn and finds joy in figuring out how each one learns best.  Working with both the students and their parents and being a part of the family’s lives for a short time is considered an honor and a blessing.  It is most important to Kim that each student knows that they are important, believed in, and loved.
